Our role as a coach
|
We like to describe our role as a coach
that helps our clients to learn themselves to
manage their knowledge.
Our
clients take a clear ownership through their own Knowledge Manager,CoP
in KM, Business Proces owners and line managers.
As a coach, we work
with (knowledge) managers, (project)teams that want to master themselves their
knowledge management and solutions.
It means education, training on the job, co-design, doing difficult things
together, be a soundboard for your plans, review the designs...
This is different from consultants who write reports for you, or do the work for
you.
Coaching assures a higher sustainability and is cheaper, if... you have the time
and will to master.
Warmoes adds expertise since
1985 in
 | improving knowledge work |
 | coaching learning teams and Communities of
Practice, |
 | integrating various mental disciplines
such as
knowledge management, the learning organisation and competence
|
and a network to other knowledge managers, knowledge sources
and suppliers.
In practice, this means that we, as a coach, live with you on
a part time basis.
The coach is almost always together with a person or a team, as this allows
permanently to create awareness for interesting phenomena, and to transfer
insights and practices.
Furthermore, the coach writes not too many texts himself: it is a much better
learning experience when the client writes himself, followed by a critical
review by the coach.
The collaboration with the coach and his strong
drive for success also ensures that the KM effort is continued.

Two compliments from our clients that we value very much are :
 | "With my more than 20 years of
experience in Corporate Learning and Development, I appreciated especially
that Warmoes made me look with new eyes. I learned to look at many important
new perspectives that used to go by unnoticed" |
 | "Without Warmoes, we would never have got so much out of
ourselves". |
Our role can also be described of that of an Architect:
The "producer" of a process of building a shared Vision, in which he
is also an actor.

Our logo illustrates our attitude:
 | The most powerful solution, the purest white
light, originates through a multicoloured set of resources.
|
 | These colours are a metaphor for the
multidisciplinary client team: the business departments, Information Systems, Quality
Management, Human Resources.
|
 | The colours are also a metaphor for the
different parts of a solution: Communities of Practice, training, documentation, software tools, business process
improvement... |
 | As a coach, we have to be transparent. |
